What is Live Orbit?
Live Orbit is a satellite tracking app for iPhone from Apps Made Better LLC. It combines an Earth view, satellite search, visible pass planning, Sky Mode and AR guidance, radio observation recordings, and space news.
Can I use Live Orbit to plan an ISS sighting?
Yes. Look for the International Space Station and check its pass information for your viewing location. A satellite being above the horizon does not guarantee a visible sighting. Check the predicted viewing opportunity and your sky conditions before heading outside.
How do I download Live Orbit?
Choose Download for iOS to open Live Orbit on the App Store. The app is free to download, with in-app purchases. Check the listing for current compatibility and pricing.
Do I need an account?
No. Live Orbit is designed so you can open the app and start exploring without creating an account, setting up a profile, or handing over extra personal details.
How does Live Orbit use my location?
Your location is used to show what is visible from where you are. It helps calculate passes, align the sky view, and make the app feel local to you. You stay in control of location access from iPhone Settings.
What can I track?
You can follow satellites as they move around Earth, check when passes are worth stepping outside for, keep up with launches, and see space news beside the tracker instead of jumping between different apps.
Why do pass times change?
Satellites move fast, and their paths are updated from public orbit data. As newer data comes in, pass times can shift a little. Live Orbit is meant to make those changes easier to understand.
Will it work on iPad or Mac?
Live Orbit is designed for iPhone. Check the App Store listing for the latest device and operating system requirements.
